1969 Z28 Camaro – Back-Half Drag Car

1969 Z/28 Camaro back-half drag car. The car has VIN numbers and a title, so it can be registered and driven on the road. Powered by a 540 Big Block Chevy that has run 9.30s at 148.99 MPH in the 1/4 mile. The engine has only three runs since being rebuilt. The rebuild includes a new can, bearings, balancing, and assembly by Don’s Machine Shop in Kenosha, WI.

The car features Jesel top end, Brodix aluminum heads, new Lemon 2 1/4" custom-coated headers, newer slicks, coilovers, Powerglide transmission with Rock Crusher housing, trans brake, and air shifter. The transmission was rebuilt in 2015.

The car was completely rebuilt in 2015, including new wiring, switch panel, and fuse panel. It is NHRA certified to 8.50 seconds and has a proven track record as a consistent winner, including a Drag News Championship, National Drag News Championship, and a Wally. Final round record is 25-2.

The car is also autographed by “Big Daddy” Don Garlits.
