Up for sale is a genuine Cosworth YB-series 2.0L inline-four engine, featuring the iconic 16-valve DOHC cylinder head with its signature red valve cover. Based on the legendary Ford Pinto iron block, the YB engine became famous in the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth and remains highly sought after by collectors and performance enthusiasts.
This naturally aspirated YBM-spec engine was machined in 2012 and dyno-tested by Ivey Engines Inc. (Portland, OR), producing 182.6 HP at 6,600 RPM and 158.4 lb-ft of torque at 5,500 RPM. The engine has not been started since being acquired in 2013.
Included in the sale are the removed dual 48mm Weber carburetors, headers, spare camshafts, partial service records, and the original 2012 dyno sheet. The block stamping has been painted over and is not visible.
