Hewland L.G. 500 Transaxle

Hewland L.G. 500 transaxle removed from a Lola race car powered by a General Motors small-block V8. The transaxle was acquired in 2020 and features an aluminum case, four forward gears, and a limited-slip differential.

The transaxle features 10/33 ring and pinion gears with a final drive ratio of 3.30:1. The input shaft has 1 1/8”x10 splines, and the output shafts use 108mm constant velocity joints. Additional photos on request and serious minded buyer only.

The four-speed gearbox features a clutch-type limited-slip differential and the following gear ratios:

First: 24/50 (2.08:1)
Second: 28/43 (1.54:1)
Third: 34/41 (1.21:1)
Fourth: 37/37 (1:1)
