racetrade.com First Party Analytics, Tracking, and Cookies Usage Policy
Last updated: September 1, 2025
Applies to: racetrade.com and related subdomains (the “Service”).
This page explains how we use cookies and analytics, what data are collected, and how you can control them. For broader data practices, see our
Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small files placed on your device to make websites work and to measure usage. Some cookies are essential for core functions; others are non-essential (for example, analytics cookies used to understand traffic and improve the Service).
How we use cookies
- Essential cookies – Used for security, fraud prevention, and basic site functions (e.g., keeping sellers/admins signed in). These run without consent because the site won’t function properly without them.
- Analytics cookies (first-party) – We run self-hosted, first-party analytics to measure page views, sessions, referrers, and on-site events so we can improve the Service. We do not use analytics cookies for cross-site advertising.
Consent
- United States & other regions: Analytics may load by default. You can still manage your choices below.
Cookie Preferences:
You may choose to prevent RaceTrade.com from aggregating and analyzing the actions you take on this site. Doing so will protect your privacy, but will also prevent us from learning from your actions and creating a better experience for you and other users.
What data we collect via analytics
When analytics is active, our tracker can process the following by default:
- Network & request basics: IP address (we enable IP anonymisation / truncation), date & time of the request, and time in your local timezone.
- Pages & navigation: page titles and URLs you visit, the URL you came from (referrer), page generation/load time, files you click/download, and outbound links you click.
- Device & software: browser and OS (from the User-Agent), device type (desktop/tablet/mobile/etc.), brand and model, and primary browser language.
- Approximate location: country/region/city and approximate latitude/longitude derived from IP.
- First-party cookie values (if cookies are enabled): a random unique visitor ID, timestamps of first and previous visits, and visit count. (Tracking cookies can be disabled.)
Optional (feature-dependent) data we may collect if enabled:
- Campaign parameters (e.g., UTM tags)
- On-site search queries (if site search is present)
- Goals and events (conversions and interactions)
- E-commerce analytics (if we run a store)
- Content tracking (views/clicks on defined content blocks)
Notes on personal data & minimisation: IP addresses, order IDs, URLs/titles/queries, and cookie IDs can be personal data depending on context. We configure analytics to minimise data, avoid capturing sensitive content, and use IP anonymisation.
Cookie list
The list reflects our current configuration. We’ll update it when we add or remove cookies. Cookies are first-party (set on .racetrade.com).

---|---|---|---|
_pk_id |

_pk_ses |
Session cookie to group page views into a visit | Cookie | ~30 minutes |
_pk_ref |

How to control cookies
- Cookie Preferences: Use the control above to accept or reject analytics at any time (effective going forward).
- Browser controls: You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking essential cookies may break site functionality.
- Global Privacy Signals: Where required, we honor applicable browser-level signals (e.g., GPC) for analytics consent.
Do we “sell” or “share” data?
Under U.S. state privacy laws (e.g., CPRA), we do not sell or “share” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. If this changes, we’ll update this page and provide required opt-outs.
Retention
Raw analytics events: 24 months; aggregated reports may be stored longer for trend analysis. Cookie lifetimes are listed above.
Changes & contact
We may update this page to reflect changes in cookies, analytics settings, or law. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date and, where required, notify you via the banner or on-site notice.
