If you love 70s style hot rods, this 1931 Ford will surely make you smile. The exterior of this steel bodied Model A is painted in Bowling Ball Blue Metallic paint that really dances in the sun. The sides have swirls of silver metallic, and the firewall is a custom wrap that ties everything together. That panel can be removed and the wrap changed with just 5 bolts if it's not to your liking. Tear drop blue dot taillights are a must on these 5-window coupes, and the pop out windshield is always an eye catcher. The roof panel is custom vinyl with a sweet 70s stitched in design.
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels, chrome headers, chrome exhaust tips, big chrome headlights with integrated turn signals, and the chrome stacks on the 6 carburetors really make this car pop! Let's dive right into the drivetrain of this street rod. It is Ford powered all the way! No Chevy small blocks here, just a built Ford 302 that looks amazing with the Weiand intake with Vintage Speed adapter and 6 single barrel Rochester carburetors. Only 2 of the carburetors are functional, because that's all the fuel this 302 needs to absolutely fly! The others are for looks, and honestly it couldn't look any cooler if it tried! Braided fuel lines with pressure gauge, blue flex fan, billet radiator overflow, blue finned M/T valve covers, a billet MSD distributor, chrome water pump, and chrome alternator finish off the engine!
The chrome lakester headers are capped and run to electric cutouts controlled by a switch on the dash. If you keep them closed it runs through glass packs and out the back with a subtle rumble. Flip the switch and wake the neighbors if you really want to let this 302 breathe!
The engine is painted to match the car and is paired with a C4 automatic transmission and runs out to a 1955 Chevy rear end with highway friendly 3.55 gear ratio. A dual reservoir master cylinder has a Speedway adjustable proportioning valve and front disc brakes bring this little coupe to a halt in a hurry. Up front, a chrome drop axle not only looks great but rides great with chrome Pro Series shocks, rack and pinion steering, and stylish finned brake covers.
Pop the trunk lid and you will find a nicely carpeted trunk with easy to access battery and battery cut off. The interior features bucket seats wrapped in cloth, matching custom door panels, custom headliner, Stewart Warner gauges, tilt steering column with custom flame steering wheel, Kenwood AM/FM/CD/AUX radio, and a Lokar shifter with long handle. It is just classic street rod style at every turn!
